Rawalpindi: The military’s media arm claimed Tuesday that an intelligence-based operation in the general region of Sambaza in Balochistan’s Zhob district resulted in the martyrdom of a Pakistan Army soldier and the killing of 15 terrorists.
On December 10, the security forces carried out an IBO in which their own troops successfully engaged the terrorists’ location, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
“A large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the killed Khawarij,” the statement read.
But it further stated that after bravely enduring the fierce firefight, 32-year-old Sep Arif ur Rehman of the Mansehra District accepted martyrdom.
“Sanitisation operation is being conducted to neutralize any other Kharji present in the area,” according to the ISPR.
