Attaullah Tarar, the Federal Minister for Information, stated that the government was dedicated to reclaiming the stolen riches for the benefit of the public a day after PTI founder Imran Khan was found guilty in the well-known £190 million case.
After failing to offer a legal defense in the £190 million corruption case, which he described as an “open-and-shut” matter with no ambiguities or legal loopholes, Tarar criticized the former ruling party for turning to religious sentiments during a joint press conference with religious scholars on Saturday.
The minister asked the PTI to explain whether the £190 million that the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) had recovered had been given to Pakistan and whether the money had been given back to the original owner.
