Bicycles will be given as gifts to 20,000 students on July 10 by the Punjab government, according to Punjab Transport Minister Bilal Akbar.
He claimed that women had been given preference in the bikes initiative in accordance with directives from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Transport Secretary Ahmed Javed Qazi updated the attendees of the 10th meeting of the steering committee, which was chaired by Transport Minister Punjab Bilal Akbar Khan, on the status of the bike supply project.
It was reported that calls, texts, and emails are being used to get in touch with pupils.
Moreover, the minister of transportation has begun incorporating working women into the bike supply program.
