Half of Scrum Dupont has chosen to skip this year’s competition in order to help the French sevens squad get ready for the Paris Olympics in 2024.
“Wright is a huge loss for them,” stated Warren Gatland, the head coach of Wales.
“That is his leadership and experience, the ability for probably the best player in the world to change a game.”
Gatland went on to say: “I’ve seen some clips of him in the sevens and the impact that he is already having in that programme.”
