With 272 successful operations carried out throughout the province in 2023, the Pakistani Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has stepped up its efforts to combat drug trafficking in Balochistan.
52 people were arrested for drug-related offenses and an astounding 51 tons of drugs were recovered as a result of these operations. 82 cars that were being used for smuggling were also taken by ANF.
4.4 tons of opium, 2.3 tons of methamphetamine, 1.5 tons of heroin, 17.3 tons of cannabis, and 1 ton of alcohol were among the drugs found.
Significant amounts of chemicals, such as 7.9 tons of hydrochloric acid and 7.3 tons of sulfuric acid, as well as 831 kilos of morphine and 402 kilograms of crystal meth were among the other noteworthy finds. Three kilograms of ecstasy tablets and 5.7 tons of ephedrine were also found.
