Rana Sanaullah, the prime minister’s adviser on political matters, stated on Friday that the army chief was worried about the absence of trials for individuals responsible for the May 9 events.
In an interview with News, he stated, “The incident on November 26 might not have happened if trials had taken place.”
In support of Khan’s “final call” to “ensure the release of party members and restoration of democracy,” thousands of PTI supporters marched to Islamabad on November 24 from several locations. However, on November 26, the third day, the demonstration was canceled.
Despite obstacles and internet and cellular service outages, they were able to make it to the federal capital.
