Charles stood behind Kate at the Trooping the Colour instead of Prince William, demonstrating to the public how much she means to him.
According to Grant Harrold, a former royal butler who spoke with OK! Magazine, Charles made the alteration himself as a token of gratitude for Kate’s help through difficult times.
“The procedure is being altered to depict the King and Kate standing together and facing comparable struggles,
