LONDON: After a trial that lasted almost six years after the late judge’s fateful meeting with the PML-N loyalist in Lahore, which altered the recent political power dynamics in Pakistan, Mian Saleem Raza, the main figure in the Judge Arshad Malik video scandal, was found not guilty by the District and Sessions Judge Cyber Crime Islamabad.
In the Judge Arshad Malik video scandal case, Raza Khan, Mian Tariq (late), Nadir Khan, Nasir Mahmood, and Hamza Butt were among those acquitted on Thursday by Additional District and Session Judge Adnan Rasool Larak.
The FIA accused Raza, who was listed as one of the most wanted terrorists, of starting the Malik video controversy and of exploiting the judge’s contentious footage as a means of blackmail.
