Today, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chose to designate the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the neutral venue for India’s matches, ending protracted and intense discussions on the neutral venue fiasco for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
According to a PCB official, the decision was communicated to the International Cricket Council (ICC) following a meeting between Sheikh Al Nahyan and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
The Indian government’s refusal to permit its players to go to Pakistan for the major event has been a topic of discussion between the two nations for some time.
India’s matches in the much-anticipated Champions Trophy will now take place in the United Arab Emirates, while the remaining matches will take place in Pakistani stadiums.
