Following an attack on the presidential palace in the capital, N’Djamena, on Wednesday night, the administration of Chad has stated that security forces have stopped a purported attempt to destabilize the nation.
“A destabilization attempt has been thwarted. Foreign Minister Abderaman Koulamallah told state television that 19 individuals, including 18 attackers and one soldier, had died and 6 others were injured.
He went on to say that 24 people had attacked the guards surrounding the presidential residence using knives instead of guns.
And now N’Djamena is calm again.

“They killed one guard and gravely wounded two others after stabbing four guards.”
