Karachi: An important step in the ongoing inquiry has been taken with the exhumation of the buried remains, believed to be those of Mustafa Amir, the slain BBA student, from Keamari graveyard.
During today’s exhumation, samples were obtained from the mortal remains, and these will now be forwarded for additional forensic examination.
The Edhi Foundation received the burned body, which was unidentifiable at the time, from the police on January 12 after the 23-year-old student vanished on January 6, 2025, and was discovered in a car close to the Hub checkpoint.
On January 16, the rescue service buried the mortal bones, which were assumed to be those of the victim, at its Keamari graveyard.
