Kelsea Ballerini, the Voice coach, discussed her feelings about working with Adam Levine and how it went against Blake Shelton’s caution.
In the February 24 episode, Ballerini, 31, recalled Shelton’s amusing warning about Levine’s competitive nature, which made her anxious, saying, “He was like, ‘Adam’s tough,'” according to Us Weekly. He can be nasty at times. He is a competitive person. He is merciless.
But the Maroon 5 frontman, in her opinion, was completely the opposite: “He was wrong.” You’re quite beautiful. She said, “You’re nice,” to Levine, 45.
“I feel like Blake was hazing you when he did that,” Levine, who made a comeback to the show this season, joked in response. “He’s mean,” he remarked. He isn’t a kind person.
