Authorities responded quickly after the incident, which injured police officers Arshad, Amir, and Riaz with pellets, according to The News.
Police surrounded the area after the explosion and took the injured to a neighboring hospital, where they are still in stable condition.
The explosion also damaged a car that belonged to the crime scene team, resulting in a broken window, according to DIG Asad Raza, the chief of South Range.
He added that the nature of the explosion was being ascertained and that the bomb disposal unit had been called in to evaluate the situation.
