GUJRANWALA: On Wednesday, a judge cleared Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah, the adviser on political and public affairs, of a lawsuit filed in October 2020 about a rally of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in Gujranwala.
The lawmaker was charged with lifting a container and reportedly trying to run over police officers during the then-grand opposition coalition gathering. Under the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, the case was brought.
During the hearing of the case filed at the Satellite Town police station, Judicial Magistrate Sidrah Gill Nawaz stated that the prosecution had not proven the charge.
