At the end of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, Scotland, sits the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Throughout the year, it hosts a number of royal parties and events as the official house of the British queen in Scotland.
On the Royal Family’s official Instagram account, four images of the Princess Royal and the awardees were posted with the message, “Well done to all who received honors at the Palace of Holyroodhouse yesterday.”
It read, “Amongst recipients were sporting stars, Nathan Macqueen MBE and Sandy Lyle OBE- congratulations!.”
It was customary for Princess Anne to accept awards on behalf of the king or queen.
