Dolly Parton’s husband, Carl Dean, passed away. The pop icon’s sister sent a message to the fans amid the sadness.
“We appreciate your prayers at this time on behalf of my sister Dolly, our family, and Carl’s family,” Stella Parton wrote in a post on X.
“Carl Dean, husband of Dolly Parton, passed away March 3rd in Nashville at the age of 82,” the Jolene’s singer had earlier said on social media.
His immediate relatives will attend the private service where he will be laid to rest. “His siblings Sandra and Donnie survive him,” the note said.
“Carl and I spent many wonderful years together,” Dolly added in the statement.
