Dubai: Dubai Police have cautioned fans that breaking sports regulations during stadium games may result in fines of between Rs 380,000 and Rs 2,285,000 (AED 5,000 to AED 30,000) or imprisonment for one to three months.
Fans have received a strong warning from Dubai Police to abide by the regulations when attending sporting events.
Following India’s triumph over Australia in the semi-finals at Dubai Cricket Stadium, authorities in Dubai have recently arrested a fan trespassing onto the cricket field.
At a number of football games in the Emirates, Dubai Police also detained supporters for deploying marine distress signals, which constituted a major risk to all those in attendance.
Additionally, the police made public images of offenders with blank faces.
