In her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, Mindy Kaling has spoken out about her “awkward” encounter with Meghan Markle.
The moment from the second edition of the show, in which Mindy and Meghan were conversing, went viral. The actress and comedian was reprimanded by the Duchess of Sussex for referring to her as “Meghan Markle.” “Your constant use of “Meghan Markle” is hilarious. I’m Sussex now, you know that,” Meghan replied.
Mindy responded to the commotion on The View by saying she was taken aback by the response.
You see, I had a terrific time. Every time I do something involving Meghan, it turns into… major news,” she remarked.
“We were making sandwiches, and then they’ll push in on my face,” Mindy continued.
