As the relatives of ten missing Kardgap youngsters continued to demonstrate in Noshki, the N-40 National Highway—the primary commerce route between Pakistan and Iran—remained closed for the ninth day in a row.
Travel between Noshki, Rakhshan Division, and Quetta has been hampered by the road shutdown, which has also broken the nation’s land connection with Iran. Road closures have also resulted in the suspension of LPG gas supplies to Punjab and Sindh.
Additionally, a car trying to take a different route had its windows broken by protesters.
According to Customs officials on Sunday, tensions between the two nations have also kept the Pakistan-Afghan Torkham border closed for the sixteenth day.
Tensions about construction in disputed areas led to the closure.
