Karachi: According to the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee’s (CPLC) report released on Sunday, 1,402 cell phones were stolen in Karachi last month, while 36 individuals were slain in various events.
In February, 3,773 motorcycles and 195 cars were taken away from residents of the city, according to a statement released by CPLC officials. 36 snatchings and 159 four-wheeler thefts were included in the figures.
In addition, 3,224 two-wheeler thefts and 549 motorcycle snatches were reported.
Robbers killed 106 people, including an army officer, a retired commando, police officers, engineers, security guards, and ladies, despite the police using the “half-fry” strategy (arrest and shoot). The robbers’ gunfire also injured almost 300 other people.
