According to an International Labour Organization (ILO) report, Pakistan’s gender pay gap (GPG) is still a major problem, with men and women earning significantly different salaries.
According to the survey, Pakistan has one of the biggest disparities in employment rates between men and women globally.
Based on hourly salaries, the GPG in Pakistan is 25% when taking into account the makeup of the workforce; that is, women make Rs750 for every Rs1,000 earned by men. According to the survey, the difference in monthly income is almost 30% because women also put in fewer hours.
