WELLINGTON: Michael Bracewell will head a team named Tuesday that is missing a number of important players due to the Indian Premier League (IPL) when New Zealand takes on Pakistan in a five-game Twenty20 series. This will be Bracewell’s first time captaining the country.
Bracewell was one of seven players from that one-day team chosen for the Twenty20s, and he was a star as the Black Caps advanced to the Champions Trophy final.
However, a number of prominent players, including usual captain Mitchell Santner, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, and Glenn Phillips, are unavailable because to IPL obligations.
Additionally, Kane Williamson ruled himself out of the series, which begins in Christchurch on Sunday.
