After winning the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards’ coveted Icon Award, Mariah Carey broke down in tears on Monday.
The 55-year-old singer thanked her family, the music industry, and her fans from the bottom of her heart as she accepted the prize.
“I would like to know if the lighting is acceptable. The audience laughed as Mariah began her award-acceptance speech, “Because I don’t like bad lighting.”
“As a child, I used to listen to my favorite artist on the radio and dreamed of being on the airwaves myself,” the All I Want For Christmas Is You hitmaker added.
