The multi-party opposition alliance Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) has announced plans to hold an all-parties conference (APC) on the nation’s political and security situation following Eidul Fitr, following their absence from the Parliamentary Committee on National Security’s high-level in-camera meeting.
Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the head of the alliance, hosted a TTAP leadership meeting where the decision was taken.
Key opposition leaders attended the meeting, including Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, the head of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen; Salman Akram Raja, the secretary general of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI); Umar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, the leaders of the National Assembly and Senate; Asad Qaiser, the former speaker of the National Assembly; Hamid Raza, the head of the Sunni Ittehad Council; Sajid Tareen, the senior vice president of the Balochistan National Party (BNP); and Sain Zain Shah, the president of the Sindh United Party.
