In Malaysia, fifteen cricket players from Bangladesh have been taken into custody. The party was traveling to Malaysia for a competition when the border security forces of the country prevented them from entering, according to media sources.
The operation was carried out by the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency, according to reports from international media.
The cricketers were arrested on March 17 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. They stated that they were taking part in a competition run by the Penang Cricket Association. Investigations, however, showed that there was no such competition.
