Mike Johns was surprised when his December journey back to Scottsdale, Arizona, from Los Angeles, went viral.
He reserved a driverless cab to take him to the airport, and it was an exciting experience as he got in while onlookers watched.
However, he received far more attention than he had anticipated.
As those same onlookers watched, Mr. Johns found himself being driven around and around in a parking lot.
Mr. Johns had a trip to catch, and there was no visible way to rectify the Waymo ride that was not functioning as it should.
