PESHAWAR: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Masood Ahmed announced on Tuesday that four suspects in the significant cash van heist in the province capital had been taken into custody.
Targeting a bulletproof vehicle that was delivering money to many districts, the heist was executed on Monday. The linked bank thereafter filed a first information report (FIR) for the Rs35 million that had been stolen from the van.
In Hashtnagri, Peshawar, armed bandits on motorbikes were seen robbing a private bank’s cash van in CCTV footage that Geo News was able to obtain.
Police said that four armed thieves stopped the bank car at gunpoint, forced it to halt, and then took the money.
