KARACHI: According to official papers and insider sources, more than half of the students from Sindh’s school boards—apart from those from Karachi and Aga Khan boards—failed the most recent entrance exam for NED University.
Particularly dismal was the performance of candidates from boards in Larkana, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, and other areas. On the other hand, pupils from the Aga Khan and Karachi boards did noticeably better on the university’s entrance exam.
According to sources, a large number of the test-failing pupils had previously used bribery to score highly on their intermediate board exams.
While candidates from other boards frequently receive exceptionally high scores, experts observe that failure rates are generally lower among students from the Karachi board, casting doubt on the validity of their academic record.
