The price of sugar has been the subject of a notification in the nation’s capital.
The notification states that the ex-mill rate for sugar is Rs165 per kilogram, while the retail price in Islamabad is Rs172 per kilogram.
Any infractions of these price restrictions would result in severe legal action, the letter warns.
All Assistant Commissioners have been directed to enforce compliance by Deputy Commissioner Irfan Memon, who has made it clear that anyone charging prices higher than the set rate list will be the target of a crackdown.
