During the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, Usher ascended the stage.

The singer danced along to every song she sang, performing hit after hit. Known as much for his dance skills as his singing abilities, Usher started out his performance during the Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Francisco 49ers game wearing an all-white ensemble consisting of a jacket, shirt, and pants.

Beginning with one of his early hits, “My Way,” he cycled through other well-known songs, pausing only to introduce special guest Alicia Keys, who kicked off her segment of the concert with a piano tune.

After dancing with Keys and singing a little portion of their song, “My Boo,” he started to clearly perspire and started taking off his clothes.

Not long after, he disappeared backstage to change into a new outfit. He sang songs from his 30-year career during the second half of the program while dressed in a black and blue suit.

R&B artist and songwriter H.E.R., as well as rappers Lil’ Jon and Ludacris—who worked with Usher on his 2004 hit “Yeah!”—performed as special guests.

There were multiple dancers present to enhance the musical performances. Pole dancers appeared on stage at another time during the performance.

For the majority of his life, Usher—full name Usher Raymond IV—has been a performer. At the age of sixteen, he published his debut album in 1994. While his first album, “My Way,” debuted at number 25 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop charts, it was his second album, “My Way,” from 1997 that became a breakthrough hit.

This album, which went platinum seven times, included his initial successes, “Nice & Slow,” “My Way,” and “You Make Me Wanna.” Usher has been a mainstay of the R&B scene ever since its release, spawning hits like “U Got It Bad” and “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love.”
