Robert Reid, who featured for the Houston Rockets all through the last part of the 1970s and the majority of the following ten years, passed on Monday at 68 years old.
Reid, who burned through 10 of his 13 NBA seasons with the Rockets, passed on after a fight with malignant growth.
“It is with extraordinary distress that my family and I got the insight about the death of Rockets legend, Robert Reid,” Rockets proprietor Tilman Fertitta posted on X, previously Twitter, Tuesday evening.
“I have had the honor of knowing Robert for more than 40 years, and his presence generally gave pleasure and energy to any room he entered. I will always remember watching the Rockets groups he was a piece of during the 80s contend in the Finals and the affection he had for the game. My ardent sympathies go out to his significant other, Diana, and every one of the people who held him dear. Robert’s nonappearance will be profoundly felt, and he will be affectionately recollected.”
Reid played in two NBA Finals with the Rockets in 1981 and 1986, yet those groups lost to the Boston Celtics in the midst of their line.
