Attendees at the largest airshow in Asia are instead forced to settle for scale replicas of Boeing passenger aircraft or get up close and personal with a “immersive display” of a Boeing 777X cabin.
As the celebration got underway, Boeing revealed that Ed Clark, the project manager for the problematic 737 Max, would be leaving the organization.
It’s the first significant aviation incident for Boeing since a cabin panel on a brand-new Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max 9 broke off in midair back in January.
During a first examination of the Alaska Airlines occurrence, US authorities discovered that four crucial bolts that were intended to secure the “door plug” were absent. It prompted the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to order the aircraft to be temporarily grounded worldwide.
The aircraft are back in the air, but the FAA has stated that Boeing is not yet permitted to increase the number of its popular narrowbody aircraft, which includes the 737 Max 9, that it produces.
