Attaullah Tarar, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), stated on Wednesday that the federal cabinet would be formed within the next 48 hours, but did not reveal the names of the people being considered for important positions.
“It is not right to confirm something prematurely […] once it is finalised, you will be informed,” Tarar told Geo News’ Shahzeb Khanzada, as reports circulate about potential members of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s federal cabinet, who has vowed to work day and night for Pakistan’s development in the face of critical challenges.
Earlier today, News claimed, citing sources, that PM Shehbaz had ended meetings with close aides on the creation of the federal cabinet and important ministries.
According to insiders, important ministries of defence, foreign affairs, and finance are expected to be handed over to two PML-N bigwigs — Khawaja Asif and Ishaq Dar — and a well-known financier, Muhammad Aurangzeb.
