In a significant political event, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and affiliated parties from Balochistan and the Federation have announced their support for Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in the forthcoming March 9 presidential election.

The agreement was reached during a critical meeting at Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui’s mansion in Islamabad, where a delegation from the PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led by Bilawal Bhutto, Khurshid Shah, Naveed Qamar, Saad Rafique, and others met with MQM leadership.

Following considerations, the MQM leadership declared their intention to vote for Asif Ali Zardari in the presidential election.

The PPP chairman thanked MQM for its support, reiterated his commitment to addressing Karachi’s difficulties, and pledged that Asif Zardari will prioritize the city’s demands.

The Bhutto scion, citing his historical relationship with the MQM, expressed hope about the two parties’ coordinated efforts to address Karachi’s difficulties.

He thanked the MQM for their support and emphasized the significance of concerted action to meet Karachi’s problems, recognizing the PML-N’s participation in the negotiations.

MQM convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui warmly welcomed a team led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and pledged his entire support for Asif Zardari’s presidential campaign.

Siddiqui reaffirmed the MQM’s long-standing support for the PPP co-chairman in the upcoming election, which aligns with the Prime Minister’s choice.
