The IDF has described the bombing that killed three British workers in Gaza as a “grave mistake”.
Seven members of the charity World Central Kitchen perished when their convoy was struck, including John Chapman, James Henderson, and James Kirby, who were guarding the aid workers.
The family of Mr. Kirby issued the following statement: “We are completely devastated by the loss of our dear James.
He will go down as a hero, along with the other six people who regrettably lost their lives.
His altruistic spirit compelled him to help others in need despite the dangers.
Even in the midst of senseless violence, James was a true gentleman who was always prepared to help anyone in need.
We respectfully ask for privacy at this very trying time as we grieve over our beloved James.
