The Caitlin Clark era in the WNBA has begun, and it’s off to a strong start.
The NCAA’s all-time top scorer was selected first overall in last month’s WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, and she has immediately become a hero in Indianapolis.
Clark’s Fever shirt smashed Fanatics sales records, and Tim McGraw wore one of her jerseys to a concert at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home of both the Fever and the Indiana Pacers.
Clark starred in four of the most-watched women’s NCAA games in history, three of which were Iowa’s last three games in the most recent March Madness tournament. Now, she’s drawing attention to the WNBA.
Her WNBA debut in Connecticut versus the Sun had an average of 2.1 million viewers.
