A Gujranwala-based attorney has petitioned the court to take legal action in response to the national cricket team’s dismal play.
All of the players, including captain Babar Azam, the team management, and the coach, are named as parties in the petition, which was filed under sections 22A and 22B of the Pakistan Penal Code in the court of the district and sessions judge.
The petitioner voiced profound worry over the national cricket team’s underwhelming performance, branding it a financial waste and a violation of the people’s confidence. According to the appeal, the players and team management put money before the honor of the country, risking millions of rupees and the integrity of the country in the process.
Additionally, the petition draws attention to the profound harm done to people’s feelings during games versus America and India, describing these performances as especially heinous. It demands that the team be prohibited from operating until the interior secretary has finished a thorough investigation and produced a full report.
The petitioner further attacks the meddling of political personalities in the team’s operations, implying that the hiring of political figures as chairmen and coaches always ends in disaster for the team.
