The Conservatives’ most recent ad campaign seems to be aimed at prospective Reform supporters, alerting them to the possibility that, even in the unlikely event that Reform gains no seats, the Tories may only have 57 members in the next parliament.
It begs them not to take the chance of giving Labour control of Number 10, where they may even eclipse Tony Blair’s 1997 landslide.
The advertisement acknowledges Labour’s enormous advantage in the polls, which is 20 percentage points above the Conservatives, according to the most recent exclusive survey conducted for News.
Previously, during the News program Breakfast with Kay Burley, Defence Secretary Grant Shapps attempted to minimize the growing acceptance of Reform.
When asked about Reform’s current percentage of 17%, which is only one point behind the Tories, Mr. Shapps responded, “As far as I’m aware, not a single person has cast a vote in this country yet, so let’s wait and see”.
