Syed Ashiq Hussain Karmani, the provincial minister for agriculture and livestock, presided over a meeting on Thursday to discuss the status of the Chief Minister’s Punjab’s authorized livestock sector plans. Representatives from Punjab Bank, the Urban Unit, the Punjab IT Board, Secretary Livestock Punjab, Masood Anwar, DG Livestock (Extension) Asif Salman Sahi, and DG (Production) Asif Rafique were present at the meeting. Masood Anwar, the secretary of Livestock Punjab, provided a thorough update on the state of several programs, such as the program to eradicate foot and mouth disease and livestock cards. The agriculture minister announced during the meeting that the livestock sector’s development programs will receive Rs 9 billion in funding for the fiscal year 2024–2025 from Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He declared that once new developments were implemented, a new era of development will begin.
