The chief minister gave the order to reconstruct and beautify MM Alam Road in addition to establishing the Punjab Development Authority (PDA) while presiding over a meeting.
She also gave orders to start a crackdown on societies that rent illegally. A signal-free corridor from Kareem Block to the motorway was also approved by the chief minister of Punjab.
Additionally, Maryam Nawaz declared that she will provide tram service in several parts of the province capital. The Liberty, Mini Market, and Hali Road sectors are among them.
The Buzdar government has already announced similar intentions for tram service in 2019.
In this regard, CRSC International, a Chinese corporation, the Transport Department, and the Czech Republic’s Inkon Group also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
Both businesses agreed to cooperate with the Lahore Transport Company to improve the city of Lahore’s public transportation system under the terms of the memorandum of understanding.
50 trams were required to operate on Canal Road’s 35 km of track during the initial phase.
