In a social media post, his sister Rebecca Pfaffinger reported that last month, he and his assistance dog were discovered dead in his car.
She revealed to the news website that he passed away from heatstroke after dozing off in the car in an Arizona parking lot. Hans, his dog, passed away too.
She posted on Facebook, saying, “My family has suffered a loss way too early.”
“Ben was a wonderful brother, uncle, and son. He was entertaining and frequently made us laugh.
Even so, when I look through his belongings, I can’t help but giggle.
On June 13, my brother Ben and his cherished service dog Hans were discovered dead in his vehicle.
“We think he went there to drop off some residuals on the evening of the 12th.
[Found in his car] and did not exit the vehicle to retrieve it. He succumbed to vehicular heatstroke while dozing off.”
She revealed to the news that her brother had mental illness, despair, and a sleep ailment that frequently kept him up for days at a time.
