“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us,” they stated.
“We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken,” the post said. Our father was a wonderful man who was concerned about the welfare of everyone. He is known by several names. Tito Jackson from the fabled Jackson 5 is one, Coach Tito is another, and Poppa T is still another. But he will be sorely missed nonetheless. For us, it will always be “Tito Time.”
Please keep in mind to practice the lesson that our father constantly taught: “Love One Another.” “Pops, we love you,” the statement said.
Jackson, one of the renowned Jackson 5, was admitted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. Jackson was the third of Joe and Katherine Jackson’s nine children. Throughout the 1970s, the family singing trio scored multiple No. 1 songs, including “ABC,” “I Want You Back,” and “I’ll Be There.”
The Jacksons, Tito, Jackie, and Marlon, have been touring. Their next shows are set for October 25 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and November 1 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
