During high-level delegation talks in Islamabad, Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s (CPEC) progress and reaffirmed their commitment to the development and growth of important projects.
In particular, Army Chief General Asim Munir took part in the discussions.
The discussions, which took place during the Chinese premier’s visit to Shanghai for the SCO summit, centered on important areas of cooperation, such as increasing investment in Pakistan, industrial growth, agriculture, and the field of information technology.
The significance of early completion of ongoing projects, especially those in phase two of CPEC, was underscored by both leaders. Both parties pledged to see the second phase through to completion and expressed pleasure with it. They also emphasized the importance of timely completion and increased investment.
