According to Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the protest by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is still ongoing, and only Imran Khan, the founder of the party, has the power to end it.
Gandapur claimed during a press conference in Mansehra on Wednesday that the party has been severely oppressed and that irrational accusations have been made against its members.
“Coercion has been used against our party. He declared, “Imran Khan, our leader, is incarcerated, and Bushra Bibi, his wife, was also imprisoned.” He restated that the PTI is a nonviolent party that has continuously defended the Constitution’s primacy.
Early on Wednesday morning, the party formed by Imran Khan declared a “temporary suspension” of its “do-or-die” demonstration after the police cracked down on it around midnight.
