PESHAWAR: Shaukat Yousafzai, the former provincial minister and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), harshly criticized the party’s leadership for how it handled the recent demonstration in Islamabad.
Speaking on News’ “Aaj Khan Kay Saath” show, Yousafzai addressed the protest’s aftermath and the treatment of party workers, accusing the leadership of neglecting its members and making poor choices.
Yousafzai made a harsh statement that highlighted the absence of leadership during pivotal protest moments: “Entire families have been ruined; leadership did not come forward then, and still isn’t coming forward.”
He noted that although Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur led workers to the protest location.
