GENEVA: Amid escalating tensions even before Donald Trump returns to the White House, Iran, Britain, France, and Germany agreed to continue diplomatic talks after a private meeting on Friday that touched on Tehran’s nuclear program.
The sides each rushed to social media after the Geneva negotiations, which were cloaked in an unprecedented degree of secrecy, to claim that the topics of discussion had included Iran’s nuclear program, sanctions, and other regional concerns.
