Derek Brown is accused of killing Richard Braithwaite, 73, on March 21, 2019, at around midday in Wembley, north London.
He is accused of attacking the woman with a knife because he thought she was leaving things in their common passageway.
Annetta, the 71-year-old wife of Mr. Braithwaite, is said to have been assaulted during the altercation, cutting her head and face.
After her husband was found bleeding from a stab wound, which caused him to pass away around 12:30 pm, she phoned the police.
After being detained outside of Wembley police station, Brown made his appearance at the Old Bailey today via video link from Belmarsh jail, located in southeast London. Brown was dressed in a grey tracksuit.
He did not enter.
