On social media, a video of two families fighting violently inside a restaurant in Karachi’s Defence neighborhood has gone viral.
One family allegedly tried to remove a chair from an adjacent table during a small argument, which resulted in a verbal altercation that turned into a brawl between men and women.
The altercation took place in a private Khayaban-e-Sehar restaurant. Following reports of the altercation, police were called to the location and brought both families to the station for interrogation.
Iqbal Memon, a top official with the Sindh Home Department, was one of the participants.
The precise origin of the conflict is still being looked into by authorities. One of the families was allegedly permitted to depart the premises after preliminary interrogation.
