In Sheikhupura District, Punjab, a young man was murdered by his cousin, who then used his severed thumb to enter his bank account and steal money from an ATM.
A police spokeswoman stated that while investigating a suspicious car, a crew from the Housing Colony Police Station discovered the victim’s body wrapped in a sack. Police launched an inquiry after this finding, using both human intelligence and contemporary technology to identify the suspects.
According to the investigation, the accused brought his cousin Yasin from Faisalabad to Sheikhupura, where he and his associates killed him, out of greed. Yasin suffered a gunshot wound and lost his thumb in the process.
