A delegation from Pakistan, comprising Dr. Fawzia Siddiqui, doctors, military officials, and both current and past lawmakers, is scheduled to visit the United States to discuss Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s repatriation.
At a recent court session pertaining to Fawzia Siddiqui’s application for her sister’s retrieval and repatriation, this announcement was made.
The government’s resolve to deal with Dr. Siddiqui’s predicament was reaffirmed by the Additional Attorney General.
A Prisoner Transfer Agreement with the United States has also been presented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was examined in court.
When Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq asked for clarification on when a response to this agreement would be provided, authorities said one might be arriving shortly.
